Commercial Energy Performance Certificates (NDEA)

A Commercial EPC is a certificate that assesses the energy efficiency of a commercial property in the UK. It provides a rating from A+ (most efficient) to G (least efficient) and offers recommendations for improving energy efficiency. EPCs are required for all commercial properties when they are built, sold, or rented.

An EPC contains information about a property’s energy consumption, carbon dioxide emissions, and estimated energy costs. It also includes recommendations for improving energy efficiency, such as insulation upgrades, heating system improvements, and renewable energy installations.

An EPC is produced by a qualified Non-Domestic Energy Assessor who visits the property to assess its energy performance. The assessor will gather data about the property’s construction, insulation, heating system, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. This data is then used to generate an EPC using government-approved software.

An EPC is valid for 10 years from the date of issue.
